My name is Malin Pont, and I live in Southern Oregon, USA. I am a graphic designer and art director at a playground manufacturer during the day, and an aspiring artist at night. My late nights usually consist of me scrawling away at something in front of my computer in the den. A couple years ago I got a bug to do a drawing-a-day for a year. It was one of the best things I've ever done for myself as an artist. All that time I spent drawing drastically changed my abilities, made me feel confident in my endeavors, and I'm now looking for that boost once again.
I've decided to do another daily drawing. But this time I am giving everyone a chance to interact, by creating coloring pages. Adult coloring books have become a big thing lately, and I want to encourage more people to take up art. Every day I will post a new coloring page that can be downloaded and printed. And we'll just see where this concept takes us. Please post feedback, design ideas, images of colored-in pages, etc., and I will do my best to keep up.
To me, art is the subjective re-interpretation of our world. We add something new to the mosaic each time we create. Coloring is an essential tool for an artist, and a coloring book makes it easy for anyone to add a spark of their own to someone else's art.
